L'APEC : 43 ans au service des élèves du Conservatoire
22 May 2026
Since the 2022–2023 school year, the Conservatory of Music of Esch-sur-Alzette has taken a historic step forward: most music, speech arts, and dance classes are now completely free for all minors. This initiative, supported by the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, represents a major social advancement that allows every child to access high-quality artistic education, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
In practical terms, this free education applies from introductory music classes — accessible from the age of 5 — all the way to the first-cycle diploma. The disciplines covered are numerous: piano, guitar, violin, flute, percussion, singing, classical dance, speech arts, and many more. For families, this represents significant financial savings and the assurance that their child’s talent will never be limited by economic barriers.
The APEC (Parents’ Association of the Conservatory) warmly welcomes this initiative and encourages all families in the region to benefit from it. We firmly believe that music is an essential tool for personal development, discipline, creativity, and social connection. It improves concentration, strengthens self-confidence, and opens rich cultural horizons.
If you have any questions about registration procedures or available disciplines, feel free to contact the Conservatory directly at 50, rue d'Audun, L-4018 Esch-sur-Alzette, or reach out to us through the APEC contact form. Together, let’s make music an opportunity for every child in Esch-sur-Alzette
